A. Smith Bowman, located in Fredericksburg, Virginia and a sister distillery of Buffalo Trace, has released its fourth annual 10-year-old Cask Strength bourbon. Each batch of this bourbon is known for its exceptionally high proof, typically around 140. This year’s release has been bottled at 69.85% ABV (139.7 proof).
Most bottles will be available through an online lottery running from February 24th to March 3rd. The lottery is open to participants in the US, but the winners must pick up their bottles from the A. Smith Bowman gift shop in Virginia between March 5th and March 23rd. Additionally, some bottles will be available at select retailers, bars, and restaurants across the country. The suggested retail price is $100.
