Aged Haitian clairin from rare Cristalline cane variety that retains the full terroir character while adding unexpected depth from 5 years in an eclectic choice of 19 different casks.
The nose opens with fermented cane juice, guava paste, olive brine, and smoky citrus, softened by mellow oak spice. On the palate, it blends green mango, peppered honey, and herbal funk with subtle resinous wood. The finish is long, offering mineral edges, dried herbs, and a gentle warmth. Harmoniously funky, this rum delivers a beautifully matured expression of Haiti’s most distinctive sugarcane spirit.
96Among the whiskies tested in blind tastings and reviews throughout the year, those scoring the best get reselected. These products were then tried once again in a new blind tasting, which means not knowing what they are during the tasting. The only indication on the sample concerns the ABV content: a red mark states that the product has an ABV higher than 50% (100° proof). The test results are then compared, and the TOP 10 is made.
