Blend made by 50% of Japanese peated malt aged in Mizunara barrels and 50% Scottish grain aged in a mix of sherry, bourbon and wine casks.
On the nose, notes of ripe fruit, citrus and vanilla are excellently mixed. In the background appears a delicate and elegant herbaceous smoke. On the palate it is equally complex, with hints of cocoa, intense citrus notes (orange, lime, cedar) and mineral tones that take up the peat with a touch of vanilla. The finish boasts white pepper, a mix of spices and confirms citrus fruits and a puff of smoke.
94Among the rums tested in blind tastings and reviews throughout the year, those scoring the best get reselected. These products were then tried once again in a new blind tasting, which means not knowing what they are during the tasting. The only indication on the sample concerns the ABV content: a red mark states that the product has an ABV higher than 50% (100° proof). The test results are then compared, and the TOP 10 is made.
