This is the 2023 release of the Reserve series, which is said to be an artistic exploration of different casks and blending styles. The architecture of each release is intended to evolve while keeping a sherry cask influence as the core, yet with several explorations.
Sherry, dark ripe fruit, with strawberries, plums, figs, rhubarb, orange honey and sweet spices nuances. The wine casks’ influence is more important on the palate, rich in dark red fruit and herbal components. Some slightly bitter aftertaste adds complexity and a minor toffee finish with dark chocolate. Very complex, yet vivid.
93Among the whiskies tested in blind tastings and reviews throughout the year, those scoring the best get reselected. These products were then tried once again in a new blind tasting, which means not knowing what they are during the tasting. The only indication on the sample concerns the ABV content: a red mark states that the product has an ABV higher than 50% (100° proof). The test results are then compared, and the TOP 10 is made.
