On the nose, sweet aromas of honey, vanilla, and pecans enriched with vegetal hints of rosemary and thyme. Then butter and crème caramel. Fresh. On the palate it is sweet (muscovado sugar) and round, with woody notes, apricot, honey and vanilla. Vegetable aromas now gain a nuance of balsamic herbs. The finish is medium-long, honeyed, with again a balsamic touch and a sweetness with flashes of cinnamon.
93Among the rums tested in blind tastings and reviews throughout the year, those scoring the best get reselected. These products were then tried once again in a new blind tasting, which means not knowing what they are during the tasting. The only indication on the sample concerns the ABV content: a red mark states that the product has an ABV higher than 50% (100° proof). The test results are then compared, and the TOP 10 is made.
