AnCnoc 16 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured exclusively in a combination of ex-bourbon and refill American oak, allowing its natural fruit profile to shine.
The nose is bright with apricot, toasted notes and a touch of citrus. On the palate, it’s smooth and balanced, delivering cereal biscuits, walnuts, a hint of honey, and stone fruits. The finish is clean, with white pepper, lingering citrus, and oak. A refined, quietly expressive malt with classic Highland charm.
92Among the whiskies tested in blind tastings and reviews throughout the year, those scoring the best get reselected. These products were then tried once again in a new blind tasting, which means not knowing what they are during the tasting. The only indication on the sample concerns the ABV content: a red mark states that the product has an ABV higher than 50% (100° proof). The test results are then compared, and the TOP 10 is made.
