This release from Heaven Hill Distillery is named after the famed Bernheim Distillery in Louisville. The mash bill is composed of 51% wheat, 37% corn, 12% malted barley.
It is a hymn to pleasant drinkability, with medium intensity, clean, approachable and balanced. Main aromatic notes are played on juicy orange, orange honey, vanilla, fresh oak and a refreshing, slightly bitter herbal component with some sweet spices. The core is sweet, of light toffee and caramel, with vanilla powder and juicy peach and orange. It is dominated by the easy approach and the fruity dimension.
91Among the whiskies tested in blind tastings and reviews throughout the year, those scoring the best get reselected. These products were then tried once again in a new blind tasting, which means not knowing what they are during the tasting. The only indication on the sample concerns the ABV content: a red mark states that the product has an ABV higher than 50% (100° proof). The test results are then compared, and the TOP 10 is made.</p
