Bruichladdich 18 Year Re/Define is one of the two single malt expressions that debuted in its Luxury Redefined series.
It is also the first two permanent long-age statement whiskies for the brand. This whisky is made with 100% unpeated malted barley, which is a combination of Scottish mainland, Islay and organic barley. Each varietal and harvest is traceable.
The whisky was distilled in 2004 and matured on Islay, mainly in ex-bourbon casks, along with some Sauternes and port casks. After maturation, the whiskies were vatted and married for nine months before bottling.
Bottled without chill-filtration at 50% ABV (100 proof), it is already available.
