Islay distillery Bunahabhain is launching the Westering House Collection, exploring its maritime roots. The first release, Turas Math No. 1, blends two 15-year-old single malts.
One matured entirely in sherry casks from Jerez, Spain, adding saline notes, while the other spent 10 years in refill oak before finishing in amarone wine casks from Veneto, Italy, for 5 years. It is bottled at an ABV of 55.9% and the suggested retail price is set at $192. Availability is limited.
