Four Roses debuted its Limited Edition Small Batch bourbon in 2008, originally named “Mariage.” It was a bold move, especially with its barrel strength ABV, at a time when high-proof whiskeys were not widely popular. The name changed to “Limited Edition Small Batch” in 2010, continuing its approach of blending at least two of Four Roses’ 10 recipes, derived from two mashbills and five yeast strains.
The 2025 release features a blend of four distinct whiskeys: 13-year-old OBSV, 13-year-old OBSK, 13-year-old OESV, and 19-year-old OESV, praised for its delicate fruit notes and deeper flavors from the ultra-aged component. About 16,854 bottles will be available at $249. Purchases must be made at the Four Roses visitor center in Kentucky.
