Glenmorangie is relaunching its flagship sherried whisky, Lasanta, now with an updated age statement of 15 years, up from the previous 12. Director of whisky creation, Dr. Bill Lumsden, along with master blender Gillian Macdonald, has extended the maturation period by three years. This enhancement refines the balance of bourbon and oloroso sherry cask influence, resulting in greater elegance, spice, and sweetness in the whisky.
The new expression is bottled at 43% ABV and has a suggested retail price (SRP) of $70. It will be widely available starting this month. This update is part of Glenmorangie’s broader revamp of its core range.
