Jackson Purchase, located in Hickman, Kentucky, has been distilling whiskey since 2021 under the guidance of former Heaven Hill master distiller Craig Beam and former Willett head distiller Terry Ballard. After producing whiskey for others, they are now releasing their first whiskey.
Batch No. 1 Full Proof features a mashbill of 70% corn, 20% rye, and 10% malted barley, primarily sourced from local farmers. Aged for 4 years in No.-4 char barrels in the warmer Mississippi River Valley, this whiskey gained color and flavor more rapidly. It was entered into the barrel at 120 proof and bottled at 117.8 proof (ABV 58.9%).
It is a Kentucky exclusive, and the retail price is set at $59 per bottle.
