Papa’s Pilar Rum Ernest marks the ten year of the brand, and it is inspired by the novelist Ernest “Papa” Hemingway.
Seventh generation Master Distiller Ron Call selected rums from countries in South and Central America. After the initial aging process, it undergoes a double-finishing: first in new, 36-month air-dried staves in heavy toasted American white oak barrels, then double-finished in both Cognac casks and Armagnac casks.
Only 400 bottles were produced. It is already available with an SRP of $599.
