Bowmore 15 yo Darkest is produced in the oldest distillery on Islay, founded in 1779 and facing the ocean.
reveals notes of cocoa, peat and, after a few moment, nuts, hazelnut in particular. Lastly, a mix of wild berries, with strong peaks of strawberries and amarena, reaches the nostrils.

Overall, a certainly warm scotch whisky, but with a flawed harmony. The aromatic palette isn't particularly balanced and amalgamated; in parts, the peat prevails, covering the remaining flavors. However, it presents a good intensity on the palate.
