Bowmore 18YO Manzanilla Cask has been finished in Manzanilla sherry casks for 5 years and bottled at cask strength. Manzanilla is a dry type of sherry.
lovely and concentrated; the sherry is very present and works wonders: the smoky maritime notes, brine, grass, Havana cigars, and wood smoke are all wrapped inside the sweet layer of honey and pineapple.
intense. Smoke upfront and sea salt, very grassy. Then lemon juice. It gets sweeter, with milk chocolate and apricot jam, then some more lingering smoke. Very pleasant.

Overall, the Bowmore 18YO Manzanilla Cask is a very enjoyable whisky. The high alcoholic content is not perceivable and the ABV seems way lower than a 52.5%.
