TASTING NOTES: CHATEAU DE BRIAT LA CUVEE DU BARON

Nose

a very distinct nuttiness paired with toasted almonds. There is also a fruity component of black plums present, joined by earth, varnish, honey and tobacco Lovely on the nose.

Palate

the alcoholic component is not very pronounced with a good mouthfeel. Notes of stewed peaches, pineapple juice, apple peels. There are also walnut, earth and soft oak tannins present. Good body.

Finish

medium long. More dark fruit and black tea. Dry.

Overall, the Chateau de Briat La Cuvee du Baron is a good quality Armagnac. The flavor profile is somewhat limited, but it has an appealing dryness to it.
