Daftmill 2011 Winter Batch Release is a 2024 release from the Fyfe distillery.
Extremely fresh and milky. The aromas are centered on Amalfi sweet lemon and unripe peaches, however these nice and summery fruit looks like being tossed in a high quality yoghurt. No trace of acidity, no bitter side of some lemon stones. There is however a light spicy dimension and a touch of minerality giving depth. Very nice.
Very coherent with the nose, rich creamy, milky side with fresh, unripe yet juicy and pleasant fruit, between white and yellow.
Medium duration, once again of great freshness, with some quality limoncello (with much less sugar) and a touch of the milky quality which is so evident at the nose.
Daftmill 2011 Winter Batch Release is a very fresh and pleasant release, confirming the great capabilities of this Fyfe distillery to provide a unique "milky" quality, recognizable and special.
