George Remus Repeal Reserve Series VI is the 2022 edition of the award-winning series. It is crafted with a medley of five rare bourbon reserves from 2008-2014 at the historic Ross & Squibb Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
Quite deep and with silent alcohol. There is an interesting spicy note of nutmeg around the vanilla hint, and the toffee / caramel component is sophisticated and leathery. The fruity aspect is processed, fig jam and plums. The overall profile maybe described with deep aromas, yet it results vivid and fresh.
Spicy sip, with a fresh herbal, almost balsamic component which is rapidly reaching the nostrils, for a very nice overall profile. Here the oak is more pronounced, as well as the intensity of the vanilla.
Medium-long, still balsamic, with a nice spicy character.
George Remus Repeal Reserve Series VI is an outstanding bourbon. Especially on the nose the important aging of the bourbons blended to obtain the final product are delivering a complex array of flavors, from processed fruit to leather, to several different spices. The palate is intense and the finish long, providing a very fulfilling experience.
