Glen Scotia 21yo is a core range release from the Campbeltown distillery.
An excellent mix of elegance and decadence. From one side you can find the weird notes of Campbeltown (and of Glen Scotia), with brass, egg and a fatty ham organic and sapid side. On the contrary, it is perfumed and decadent, with a port-style kind of Oloroso which is providing highly processed, thick jam red berries sensation. Not truly nutty, so the Oloroso is really first-fill and fruity.
Again sapid, even though this time the sensation is more on the sea spray, but more organic, as there is a buff of peat added, coming from very freshly collected peat. It is again rich and intense, evocative and sensual. The port-like sensations are here even stronger.

Glen Scotia 21yo is a great product, quite complex. A nice duet of highly sophisticated red berries fruity aromas in thick jam and a funky Campbeltown spirit, which is organic and slightly peated. A true journey.
