Gordon & Macphail Glendullan 2007 1st Fill Bourbon Barrel is a 2025 release. Founded in 1968 by whisky visionary Mr. George Urquhart, the Connoisseurs Choice range now includes over 2,000 bottlings from over 100 Scottish distilleries. Glendullan is a Highland distillery located in Dufftown, in the heart of Speyside, founded in 1897. Little known to the general public, it produces an elegant single malt, often used in Diageo blends.
Little shy at the very beginning, it opens up with a marvelous lemon cream with orange blossom and a touch of high quality vanilla. It is then followed by warm apple with very light caramel and soft spices. Extremely classy and elegant.
It is more open here, with a sensational quality zesty fruity side of lemon, tangerine, rose grapefruit and orange. Orange honey and a touch of light candle smoke.
Medium, very clean and elegant, on light orange and sweet lemon, again with a vanilla touch.
