“Habitation Velier” was born in 2015, with the aim of focusing attention on the distillation process. All this is also confirmed by the label, where the stills used are reported in the image. This Hampden 5 yo is a Pure Single Rum, that is distilled 100% in Pot Still, which happens for all products belonging to this line. In addition to this, like all Habitation Velier rums, it is bottled cask strength.
On the nose, intense hints of olives, marzipan, and tropical fruit, where pineapple and mango stand out. Echoes of vanilla. Lastly, after a few moments, a nutty aroma emerges.
On the palate, candied fruit, molasses, and ganache, together with a vein that recalls walnut again. Wood varnish, followed by fruity notes of banana. With a few drops of water, a toasted note emerges.

Overall, the Hampden H 2016 Habitation Velier 5 Years Old is a powerful and warm rum, delivering a strong sense of fulfillment. The bouquet is intense and explosive, although not particularly broad and deep.
