Johnnie Walker Blenders' Batch Espresso Roast is one of the new products recently released on the market, October 2017. It is a blend, with the barrels chosen specifically to give aromas of coffee and chocolate, able to satisfy every type of palate. Let's analyze the product in question, on sale from October 2017.
A strong sensation of malt, of germinated barley, unveils the youth of the product. New make seasoned with notes of antique wood and wood polish. There are also traces of cocoa beans, but they are very light.
watered down. While waiting a few moments, the intensity does not seem to increase. Suave spicy notes of black pepper and hints of espresso are followed by cocoa beans. The taste of new make remains throughout the duration of the tasting.
medium persistence. It reveals coffee beans, bitter cocoa, black pepper and brown sugar.
Nose and palate, on the other hand, are less performing, due to the limited aromatic intensity and a bouquet that is not particularly well amalgamated.
