Longrow 10 is a product of the recent past, a Scotch discontinued only a few years ago. Longrow is the Springbank line dedicated to double-distilled peated whiskys, of which 10 years was launched as a progenitor in 1985, as an experiment then kept in the core-range of the Campbeltown distillery.
releases slightly peated notes, followed by hints of medicinal herbs. Particular, intense and varied.
the mouth feel is fresh and you can perceive orange and strawberry jam. Afterwards, spices (black pepper and cinnamon) are laid out, followed by red fruits (plum and strawberry). A note of cocoa appears towards the finish.
long persistence and medium intensity. Peat, black pepper and red fruit.
Overall harmony is very good, as is the intensity.
