Port Charlotte is a product line from the Bruichladdich distillery, dedicated to very peated whiskies, as stated on the label. The phenols, Parts Per Million, are around 40. This 10 Year was released in 2018 and consists of 65% of ex-Bourbon barrels, from first fillings, 10% ex-Bourbon, from second fillings, and 25% from ex-French wine barrels. Reduced to 50% with Islay water. It is a permanent addition to the core range of Port Charlotte, that competes with other Islay peated whiskies.
