Rampur Jugalbandi #6 Madeira Finish is the very recently launched latest release from the Indian distillery belonging to their highest ABV line Jugalbandi.
Very intense, however balance is on a razor's edge due to the high ABV. Alcohol is slightly evident, as well as the dry influence of Madeira casks, which are also adding some level of sweetness to an otherwise rather fruity spirit, which features dried apples and apricots. The spiciness could have been nicer, however both ABV and Madeira finish do not allow the same to shine.
Again, slightly alcoholic and with a major sweet wine influence. Dried apples and mango, over a very intrusive sweetness.
Medium duration, again on the sweet side.
Rampur Jugalbandi #6 Madeira Finish is not a truly successful release, due to the important influence of the finish, as well as a not completely silent alcoholic side. The spirit underneath is not basic, and some elements can be perceived, however a shorter or less intrusive finish would have helped the fruity and the possible complex spiciness to shine.
