Takes some time to fully open up. There is a fruity tone, not sour but not overripe as well, with just a drop of lemon, with an almost floral, fresh side. Spices are contained, only ginger and soft cloves and some vanilla. At times it becomes more buttery. Alcohol present but not exaggerated.
More creamy, with well-integrated alcohol that increases the intensity. Still citrus with lemon and cedar. At times you can feel the distillate, with a well-structured malt, which borders on buttery shortcrust pastry. Sherry side is contained, just reminiscent of sultana.
medium, consistent with the citrus side, between sapid and dry. In the second part a more coffee-oriented aromas stands out.
Redbreast 12yo Cask Strength - Batch B1/20 is overall a good product, whose spring smell is prolonged in the more intense and creamy palate, which finds the right boost in well-integrated alcohol. Fresh, yet providing some interesting spicy and sherried notes, which are interplaying very well togetehr, for a pleasant fruition.
