Signatory Ledaig 20yo is 2022 release belonging to the Cask Strength collection, using vintage spirit from the Tobermory distillery from 2001. It has been bottled for La Maison de Whisky in 536 bottles.
Excellent. Dense and compact, with burnt aromatic herbs and red berries overcooked jam. The peat is earthy and present, mineral at times.
Chewy and very rich, extremely aromatic and evoking. Oysters with red berries juice, sea salt, sea weeds, chocolate with a finish of toasted rosemary. Very complex.
Long, extremely long, balsamic at moments.
Signatory Ledaig 20yo is a fantastic release, where the burnt herbs and smoky spirit marries active, yet refined ex-sherry casks of great quality. Great pairing.
