Wilson & Morgan Glenturret 2015-2023 8yo is a 2023 release from the Italian independent bottler, with an outturn of 805 bottles. Since this is a peated release, it is normally named "Ruadh Mhor".
Intense and rather dirty. There is a definitely organic sensation of sapid smoke, such as in a pastrami sandwich or in brisket preparation. The highland nature is almost reaching coastal malt with some solidly mineral hints, which are balanced by the PX finish, which is adding some red berries jam, at times with signs of overcooking.
Nice evolution of the nose. The organic peat is reaching a manure sensation, which is added to the first fruity impressions and to suggestions of old, dirty brass pans. Not as sweet as expected, the PX finish has provided some fruity notes, but not to sweet impressions.
Medium, still very coherent with previous two phases.
