Sagamore Spirit Releases Bottled in Bond Rye Whiskey

Sagamore Spirit has released its first ever bottled-in-bond rye whiskey. The whiskey was made entirely at its Baltimore distillery, and barrel-aged for four years at its nearby rickhouse. The resulting liquid is believed to be true to Maryland’s style of rye, first made in colonial times. That style was the original mission of Sagamore to revive Maryland’s centuries-old reputation for rye whiskey distilling.

The Sagamore Spirits Bottled-in-Bond is a blend of two straight rye whiskies. One is a high-rye mash bill, while the other is a low-rye mash bill. Both of the whiskies used are the distillery’s proprietary recipe they have been using since 2016. Bottled in Bond standards, bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) from a single season of distillation. The Limited quantities of Sagamore Spirit Bottled in Bond are available at select retailers, and at the distillery. The 750-ml bottle has an MSRP of $59.99 per bottle.
