The 2XO The Kiawah Blend is the fourth release in the “Icon Series”, a collection of limited-time, small-batch blends. Each blend is unique and has its own name and symbol, inspired by something in American whiskey blender Dixon’s life. The Kiawah Blend pays homage to Dixon’s favorite place, where he goes with family and friends to relax, unwind, and recharge.
This particular whiskey, like others in the range, was crafted by American whiskey blender Dixon Dedman using a double-barrel process. Two bourbon mash bills were used for this bottling: one with a high-rye 35% recipe and another with a moderate 18% rye recipe. Dedman double-barreled the high-rye recipe in new, charred oak barrels (#3 and #4 char levels) for 9 months to a year.
It is bottled at 104 proof (52% ABV).
