Tiffon XO is a Cognac aged for at least 10 years. It is made from “eaux de vie” coming from the Grande and Petit Champagne regions. <br><br> The Mainson Tiffon was founded in 1875, by Mederic Tiffon, in the city of Jarnac. Today family runned company owns 40 hectares of land in the Cognac region. In addition to its own cultivation, the company counts on two distilleries and eleven warehouses, storing 12,000 oak barrels, containing each 350 liter of distillate.
delicate and rather shy. It delivers scents of dates, raisins, toasted hazelnuts and almond skins. Then, notes of marzipan, cedar, varnished wood follows. Easy and pleasant.
good arrival, very grapy. Note of earth, dates and apricots. Good body. Some tobacco, earth, pinewood and wood spice. Then again almond skins.
medium-long persistenza. More nuttiness, almond skins, tannins. Very dry.
Overall, the Tiffon XO is a nice Cognac. The aromatic bouquet is wide and it shows a good harmony. Very dry.
