The Kurayoshi 18 Years Old

Since 1910 the Matsu Shuzo distillery overlooks the Sea of Japan, in the Tottori prefecture, in the shadow of Mount Daisen, an ancient extinct volcano. Despite the low profile of the media, Matsui has a line of ten different malts. This 18-year-old is the most aged in the range: it comes from a blend of local whiskeys obtained from imported Scottish single malts, diluted before bottling with pure water filtered from the surrounding volcanic soil.
