An Cladach is Bunnahabhain’s third release from the World Traveller Exclusive series for the Travel Retail Market after Eirigh Na Greine and Cruach Mhona. The name means “coast” in Gaelic, and therefore tends to remember the geographical location of the distillery and the saline and mineral side of many of the products released by this brand.

TASTING NOTES – BUNNAHABHAIN AN CLADACH

Nose

Bunnahabhain’s sulphurous and animal note is present, but more subtle than in other products. The fruity side resembles red fruit, such as strawberry and dehydrated plum. There is also a drier component, reminiscent of almond. Alcohol is present, yet not too intrusive.

Palate

warm and chocolatey entrance, with also red fruit and savory coastal notes in the background. Salted caramel. Soft and mellow.

Finish

the dried fruit and plum are back, especially after some time, without forgetting a certain mineral character.

Excellent quality-price ratio for this whisky of Islay, whose coastal side is mild but present, as well as the most characteristic notes of Bunnahabhain. The intensity of the aromas is not impetuous and the palette is not of great depth, but the elegance is perceptible, resulting in a very pleasant fruition, quite consistent with the brand.
