Mount Gay Single Estate Series is a molasses-based rum produced entirely from sugar cane grown at the Mount Gay Estate in St. Lucy, Barbados.
This second limited edition, known as Vt18 (Vintage 18), uses sugar cane harvested in a single year: 2018. It is crafted from a blend of two different pot still distillations (d2) and aged in ex-bourbon American oak casks.
A total of 5,418 bottles have been produced and are now available worldwide. The rum is bottled without chill filtration at 55% ABV (110 proof), with a suggested retail price of $400 in the U.S.
