Fourth limited release in the Celtic Series, this triple distilled whiskey honors the ancient Celtic celebration of Lúnasa, the beginning of the harvest season, paying respects to the mother of Lugh, a god of Irish mythology, who is said to have died of exhaustion after preparing Ireland’s fields for farming.
Pure and intense, with fresh apricot, peach, yellow apples, pink mature grapefruit, and sugar covered lemons. The vanilla impressions are quite sweet. Creaminess is medium, with a fresh herbal side on the palate.
90Among the whiskies tested in blind tastings and reviews throughout the year, those scoring the best get reselected. These products were then tried once again in a new blind tasting, which means not knowing what they are during the tasting. The only indication on the sample concerns the ABV content: a red mark states that the product has an ABV higher than 50% (100° proof). The test results are then compared, and the TOP 10 is made.</p
