In April, Pursuit Spirits launched its Mellwood Legacy Collection, featuring two bourbons: 6-year-old Mellwood Bottled in Bond and 7-year-old Derby Town. The newest release is an 11-year-old bourbon called Old Anvil, sourced from an undisclosed Kentucky distillery with a mashbill of 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley.
Founders Kenny Coleman and Ryan Cecil purchased the barrels when the whiskey was 5 years old in 2019. After maturing for 11 years, it was released exclusively at Pursuit’s newly opened Whiskey Row location. Bottled at an ABV of 59.7%, it retails for $100 per 375ml bottle.
