We’re nearing the end of 2025, and once again it’s time to celebrate and revisit all the rums and whiskies we’ve assessed over the past twelve months. As always, the final part of the year is dedicated to highlighting the very best, with special attention to the standout new releases that have recently entered the market.
Since 2016, CigarsLover Magazine has released the Top 10 Whiskies and the Top 10 Rums of the year.
Starting on Monday, December 4, we will start unveiling the best 10 whiskies and rums of the year. Get ready to discover the 20 best spirits we selected this year. The full schedule is as follows.

Among the whiskies and rums that receive the highest scores in blind tastings and reviews throughout the year, the top-performing labels are shortlisted for further evaluation. These products are then tested again in a new blind tasting, meaning the panel has no knowledge of which whiskies or rums are being assessed. The only indication provided on each sample concerns the ABV: a red mark signifies that the product has an ABV higher than 50% (100° proof). The results are then compared, and from this process the TOP 10 are determined.
