Ardbeg Islay Single Malt Whisky is launching Ardbeg Ten Years Old Cask Strength, the first cask-strength bottling of the single malt that has been a defining feature of the distillery’s style since 2000. Unfiltered, undiluted, and matured exclusively in American ex-bourbon casks, this bottling of Ardbeg Ten is particularly powerful and intense.
When Ardbeg Ten Years Old was first bottled in 2000, it marked a turning point in the history of the Islay distillery. Following extensive renovations, Ardbeg fully resumed production, accompanied by the establishment of the Ardbeg Committee, which has since safeguarded the distillery’s whisky legacy. The Ten Years Old remains a benchmark for Ardbeg’s distinctive style.
With this new cask strength bottling, Ardbeg fulfills a long-standing wish of the Ardbeg Committee. Ardbeg Ten Years Old is bottled virtually unchanged from the cask and matures exclusively in American ex-bourbon white oak barrels. Bottled at 61.7% ABV, the whisky retains its full expressiveness. Chill filtration and coloring have been deliberately omitted to preserve the original character of the spirit.
The Ardbeg Ten Years Old Cask Strength is bottled at 61.7% ABV and will be available from selected Ardbeg embassies starting February 25, 2026. The suggested retail price per bottle is £75.
