This is the 18th Exceptional Cask Selection by Foursquare: it’s a traditional English blend of pot-still distilled rums aged for eleven years in ex-bourbon and ex-zinfandel casks.
It’s a quite rich and balanced rum: fresh fruit and summer spices dance over a bed of delicate wine scents. The palate shows a strong character with warm, spicy, tropical fruits and meaty and roasted notes. Coconut, vanilla, and noble wood spices linger on the tongue until the final drop. A great drink!
91Among the rums tested in blind tastings and reviews throughout the year, those scoring the best get reselected. These products were then tried once again in a new blind tasting, which means not knowing what they are during the tasting. The only indication on the sample concerns the ABV content: a red mark states that the product has an ABV higher than 50% (100° proof). The test results are then compared, and the TOP 10 is made.
