Booker’s Apprentice Batch 2023-02

The Booker’s Apprentice Batch 2023-02 is the second batch of Booker’s Bourbon for 2023 (the first one being “Chalie’s Batch 2023-01”).

This bottling pays homage to Carl Beam, Booker Noe’s cousin, and mentor, with whom Booker worked shortly after he began his career at Jim Beam Distillery in 1952. Two years later, the pair worked together to get a newly acquired distillery in Boston, Kentucky, up and running. This distillery would later be renamed the Booker Noe Distillery.

When Booker started working at the Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont in 1952, Carl Beam became a mentor to him. Two years after Booker started, the brand purchased a distillery in Boston, Kentucky, to increase production capabilities. Carl and Booker worked closely together to get it up and running, and eventually, Carl handed the reins over to Booker.

This batch was aged for 7 years, 1 month, and 2 days. Like all Booker’s Small Batch Bourbon bottlings, it is uncut and unfiltered. It is bottled at 125.5 proof (62.75% ABV). It is already available with an SRP of $89.99.
