Bruichladdich has launched Bruichladdich Old Skool, a 10-year-old single malt celebrating 25 years since the distillery’s revival in 2001. This is the first of three anniversary bottlings for the year.
Made from 100% Islay-grown barley, primarily sourced from 14 local growers, Old Skool matures mainly in bourbon casks with some first-fill sauternes casks. The packaging pays homage to Bruichladdich bottles from the 1980s.
The distillery will host various events throughout the year, including the 25th anniversary of the Rock’ndall festival during the Feis Ile festival in May. With an ABV of 50% and a suggested retail price of £50 ($80), it features limited availability in the UK.
