Filmland Spirits has introduced Crimson Cask, a 4-year-old bourbon sourced from an undisclosed Kentucky distillery with a mashbill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley.
Inspired by noir detective films, the story follows distillery heiress Scarlett Cross, who becomes a suspect in her father’s mysterious death by a bourbon barrel. Despite some skepticism from traditionalists, Filmland has produced notable expressions, including Ryes of the Robots Extended Cut and Moonlight Mayhem! 2.
The Crimson Cask, with an ABV of 45%, has a suggested retail price of $40 available exclusively in Kentucky.
