The Kentucky Owl Maighstir Edition is a limited edition release. Maighstir translates to “master” in Gaelic. This Kentucky straight bourbon was made in collaboration with Master Blender John Rhea and new Kentucky Owl Master Blender Maureen Robinson.
Four, five, eight, and nine year-old bourbons were blended for this release, each with mash bill recipes featuring corn, rye, wheat, and malted barley. They were chosen to convey a Scottish-inspired Kentucky bourbon whiskey.
It is bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) and it is already available, with a suggested retail price of $150.
