Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage 2013 is one of the few vintage dated single barrel Bourbon on the market. This particular vintage has been distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2021. Only 80 barrels have been selected to be part of this release.
Delicate yet pleasant vanilla notes are immediately given off, with some rounded oakiness. The moderate ABV proves to be a good choice. Candied orange and grapefruit, sweet, yet with a balsamic herbs menthol freshness, well-balanced.
Soft and balanced, honeyed and graceful. The woody and spicy components are just side tastes to vanilla-flavored apple compote, warm and tasty.
Still on apple tart with vanilla and some caramel, yet with a final slightly bitter note. Again pleasant.
Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage 2013 is a very nice, extremely well-balanced product. The generous aging has not provided the spirit a too intense woody component, yet it has refined the apple tart with quality vanilla profile, making it soft, yet high quality and persistent. Additional woody, spicy and balsamic herbs components are adding to the fruition.
