Glen Elgin 12yo by Chorlton Whisky is a bottling from the renown independent bottler, distilled on 21st April 2009, aged in bourbon hogshead before being bottled in only 287 bottles at cask strength.
immediately very expressive and open, with honey, butterscotch, toffee apple and some more subtle herbal notes. More complex than standard Speyside whiskies. A true buttery experience. Distant sweet licorice.
explosive, with an extremely rich, thick and fatty texture, with very pleasant notes of honey and apple, very intense. White pepper and some complex sweet spiciness can also be perceived.
quite long, still based on yellow apple and honey, with a pleasant sweetness.
Glen Elgin 12yo by Chorlton Whisky features a very intense, fruity experience, where the rich and thick texture plays a very important role in delivering a satisfying experience. The aromatic palette is also more complex than a standard Speysider, thanks to a sweet spiciness which resonates especially on the palate.
