The GlenAllachie Distillery has launched a new addition to its Masters of Wood Series: a 19-year-old Ex-Solera Sherry Cask Matured Single Malt Whisky. This release highlights rare casks and complex wood character, building on the success of the series that began in 2024 with a 17-year-old Mizunara Virgin Oak and Oloroso Sherry Cask expression, which was recognized at the World Whiskies Awards 2026.
Master Distiller Billy Walker selected vintage casks that previously held Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry for over 55 years, enhancing the whisky with deep layers of sherry character.
Walker stated, “These casks carried over half a century of sherry history. This Master of Wood release exemplifies exceptional cask influence and is one of my finest projects.”
Bottled at 50% ABV, this release showcases The GlenAllachie’s signature sherried Speyside character. The whisky is available now for £224.99 and will be globally accessible in the coming weeks.
