The Real McCoy is a rum brand created by American filmmaker Bailey Pryor and produced at the Foursquare Distillery in Barbados by master distiller Richard Seale. It takes its name from Bill McCoy, a Prohibition-era rum runner known for selling unadulterated, undiluted spirits, and the brand follows that principle: the rums are single blended, a blend of pot and column still spirit from one distillery. This 12 Year Old, the oldest expression in the core range, is distilled from Barbadian molasses and tropically aged for twelve years in heavily charred ex-bourbon American oak casks.
It delivers scents of seasoned wood and sawdust, a touch of red fruit, vanilla, caramel and plum.
