Aberfeldy 18 Year French Red Wine Cask 2021 Côte Rôtie Edition is the latest release in the Aberfeldy’s French Red Wine Cask Collection. The series started in 2019 with the Aberfeldy 15 Year Old, finished in Pomerol casks from Bordeaux. The 2020 release was an 18 Year Old expression finished in Pauillac casks, also from Bordeaux. The 2021 release is again an 18 year old whisky, that has spent an unspecified amount of time in French wine casks from the Côte Rôtie region of Rhône. Malt Master Stephanie Macleod was the person in charge for monitoring the whisky as it developed, and reached the desired profile she wanted for the release.
Aberfeldy 18 Year French Red Wine Cask 2021 Côte Rôtie Edition is bottled at 86 proof (ABV 43%). The 750-ml bottle has an MSRP of $119.99 a bottle. The 2021 release should be landing in late November or December 2021.
