Created with peated malted barley from Scotland and distilled in Tsunuki Distillery, during the winters of 2016 and 2017. It was then aged for at least 3 years in ex-bourbon oak barrels.
Very expressive, with a basket of mixed yellow fruit, with various degrees of ripeness (apple, medlar, pineapple, lemon). Something crunchy. The spicy side speaks of black and white pepper. The sweetness is contained, classy, good quality vanilla pod. A slight hint of mineral peat. In a second moment comes a remarkable creaminess, providing an almost buttery sensation.
94Among the whiskies tested in blind tastings and reviews throughout the year, those scoring the best get reselected. These products were then tried once again in a new blind tasting, which means not knowing what they are during the tasting. The only indication on the sample concerns the ABV content: a red mark states that the product has an ABV higher than 50% (100° proof). The test results are then compared, and the TOP 10 is made.
