Barceló’s Rare Blends Collection is launching three expressions, with the first being the Barceló Imperial Porto Cask. The other two will be launched later this year. The blend is made up of reserve rums that were aged in oak barrels with varying levels of toast. Afterward, the rum was further aged in Tawny 10 Port wine barrels for a period of time before being bottled. The sugarcane used for the rum was harvested from Barceló’s own cane fields in the Dominican Republic.
It is bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof).
